The Recruitment Process
Have you ever wondered what happens to your details once you register with an agency?
At BSharpe we believe in total transparency. Each agency is different, according to how thorough and professional they are and to what depth of service they offer.
BSharpe set the industry standard. We benchmark how we perform against:
- Candidate satisfaction.
- Speed of process/feedback.
- Number of interviews set up for candidates.
- Number of offers received for each candidate.
At BSharpe all steps of our service have to adhere to our strict quality control procedures.
Procedures for looking after you:
Step 1 – You may either call into BSharpe or send your CV to us directly. If you call in, we will request a copy of your CV. At this stage, if you don’t have a CV we can help you prepare one. Alternatively, you can build one using our CV-builder on this website.
Step 2 – Once we have received a copy of your CV, a convenient interview time will be set up. This can be a telephone interview or a face-to-face interview, depending on what suits your situation.
Step 3 – Under UK Law we will request a copy of your passport, a recent utility bill, and any other required legal documentation.
Step 4 – One of our recruitment consultants will thoroughly screen you and provide you with a shortlist of positions that he or she believes you are suitable for. At this stage you agree which company/companies you would like to be put forward to. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to state your key requirements for your next move.
Step 5 – Your CV will be converted into our agency format (agency CV). This is the CV format that our clients will see. Your agency CV will be sent over to our client contact.
Step 6 – We will get feedback on whether the client would like to meet with you.
Step 7 – If they have declined to meet you, we will immediately contact you to let you know.
Step 8 – If the client would like to meet with you we will arrange a mutually convenient time for both of you, leaving enough time for you to prepare for your interview.
Step 9 – Prior to your interview we ensure that you are fully prepared for your meeting. This stage is called interview preparation, during which you will be coached if required by a qualified professional, on all the latest interview techniques, questions and how to best secure the job that you want. This is an invaluable service that you can rely on for the rest of your career.
Step 10 – After the interview we will get feedback from both yourself and our client.
Step 11- If they no longer want to pursue your application, we will immediately contact you to let you know.
Step 12 - If the client would like to arrange a second interview we will arrange a mutually convenient time for both of you.
Step 13 – This is the same as step 9 but with a greater focus on addressing any of the issues or reservations that may have been highlighted by the client after the first meeting. This is a superb opportunity to fine tune and really excel.
Step 14 – If the client feels that you are unsuitable we will contact you immediately to let you know.
Step 15 – If the client would like to offer you the position we will inform you immediately of the package and terms of the offer.
Step 16 – We will then contact the client to let them know if you have accepted or declined their offer.
Step 17 – If you have accepted the offer we will arrange a start date and take down all referencing material; required by the client.
Step 18 – This is the resignation drill. Many people fall into a guilt trap when resigning. We will coach you on how to best resign on good terms. You can also use the template resignation letters contained on this site.
Step 19 – We will maintain regular contact in the lead up to your start date and the first few months of your job with your new employer to ensure that you are happy.
